A daily yoga practice with awareness to alignment, muscle isolation; resistance work; fitness; pranayama & meditation enables us to “defy” the negative aspects associated with the ageing process.

This retreat is ideal for people in their 20s/30s/ 40s/50s/ 60s or 70s… as each day you will experience

– Alignment workshops to show how muscles/ joints & bones should work to ensure that we keep agile and fluid in movement for the long term. Emphasis on anatomy and physiology as applied to movement. Your hips, shoulders & spine will never have felt better and more open. Last year we observed many of our Yogis experienced neck discomforts and strain due to arthritis and disc de-generation. We will spend a workshop covering strengthening and pain management techniques.

– An optional 90 minute intermediate level asana practice with Amanda Fuzes (reknowned for her challenging and dynamic asana practice)

– Evening yin practice- to balance all systems and work on the meridians and nadis in the body at an energetic level.

This retreat is more than just a weekend of yoga practice; eating delicious, healthy meals and enjoying the natural wonders of the Central Coast. We will be discussing in practical terms how a specific yoga practice that balances flowing movement; steady alignment; breathwork and meditation rejuvenates all the vital systems: Muscular-skeletal; endocrine (hormones); cardio-vascular; digestion; nervous. We will show how little niggles, strains and past injuries should not be avoided and ignored. It is essential we get mobility back into every achey area of our body before they prevent us from getting out of bed in the morning without having to take a pain killer or spend hard earned money on therapy.

Cancellation policy (2017 policy- to be updated shortly): If cancelled 1 month prior to the programme- 85% refund . if cancelled 1 month before the programme- 40% refund (we would have paid the venue for you and they don’t refund). if cancelled within 2 weeks of the programme- no refund.

All meals catered for by professional vegetarian chefs, as well as morning and afternoon tea for hard working yogis. Included are also teas, coffee, slow juices at breakfast time.
